It is simply an instrument that fills our surrounding with sounds of various tastes and imaginations. For some, it may be an alarm. A doorbell notifies someone to be at the door. We have imagined bell in a little different way. Inspired from one of the Facebook pages “Goats of Bangladesh”, the founder of “Bells of Nepal” realized the need of showcasing and promoting various bells found in Nepal in various forms and tastes of times. Bells is something which we would like to relate it to art and expression of choices and expression of freedom. Therefore, bell for us is a creative object that produces magical vibes bringing change into the lives of everyone. Bells have connected human civilization in various ways. It bears memories for those who have donated in the temple and charm for those who have heard it ringing miles away. Some have inscriptions with historical engravings and and others carry sacred and peaceful messages.All these need to be preserved so that the original charm and serenity keeps flowing around. With an aim to promote art in various ways, we would like to add “bells” as a synonym first for our “children” living in the remote areas of our country, deprived of developing creative skills due to various circumstances, secondly women who are deprived of their choices, third being the voices of our elders and finally and most importantly voices of the nature - Mother Earth. Our organization, “Bells of Nepal” is an initiative to ring those unheard bells and bring out their voices for a peaceful, secure, prosperous and sustainable future. Let's ring the bells, let’s be a part of this change!
