NAHUDA is a Nepal-based first non-profit NGO that started cervix cancer screening, breast examination and reproductive health prevention programs operating since in 1994. NAHUDA Clinic focused on awareness, preventing and curing of reproductive health issues in Nepal. Many Nepalese women are facing cervical cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine prolapse, fistula (urine dripping) and other reproduction health issues. Around 50,000 Nepali women have received cervical cancer and breast-cancer screening services in the last 22 years. Likewise, more than half a million women have benefitted from our awareness program. This particular service is rendered through NAHUDA clinic staff with the help of gynecologist, health workers and volunteers. Furthermore, we are providing reproductive health services to the women from rural Nepal. Still, due to absence of awareness and lack of adequate resources and service, many women are suffering throughout the country. Considering the seriousness of the problem, NAHUDA has been involved in policy-advocacy to tackle this problem.
